Found the error. It started fight with VisuMZ_0_CoreEngine. It has its own playlets commands. For some reason the update caused issues. Had to change new game on boot to "Keep title screen"
More errors keep appearing. I got the splash screen back but now have lost the title screen due to errors and crashing. Can you make the older version of this plug in available
What error are you getting? It seems weird this plugin would cause issues on the title screen since it does not touch the title scene code at all.
If you want to come into my Discord I can upload the old plugin file there, I would prefer people to use the updated versions of my plugins as I cannot provide support for old versions, and I think it would be confusing for other users if I uploaded old plugin files here.
Hi, what version of RPG Maker are you on? The splash scene was added in MZ 1.8.0 so you will need to be at least on that version of RPG Maker MZ to use this plugin, but preferably you would be on 1.9.0 which is the latest version. You can update by going to Game -> Update Corescript
I am on RPGMZ version 1.9.1 and I too am having this same issue. I just updated to the newest version of the plugin and did not have this issue before updating :(
Hi, in the editor, can you click Game -> Update Corescript and then select 1.9.0 in "Version to Overwrite" and click ok, then save your project and let me know if it fixes the issue? As far as I am aware, there is no 1.9.1 core script, maybe you are confusing the editor version with the core script version?
Oh yes, I meant the version it shows when you click "About". But yes I checked "update corescript" and even though the "current version" was already 1.9.0, I simply just clicked ok and now it seems to be working. Not sure how that works but hey I won't complain ^-^

after updating I can't access the splash screen at all. it jumps into the game every time. Skip in playlets is set to false.
Hi, it may be that you have another plugin that is skipping the splash scene. Are you able to reproduce this issue with only [CGMZ] plugins installed?

When I attempt to use the plugin, it shows the error "Scene_Splash is not defined" at line 600

Hello, may I ask if the splash screen only offer image screen (png/jpg) or can it also use video/gif for the splash screen? thank you in advanced 🙏🏻
It is only images, png.
