Hi all, this plugin was updated today to make it easier to control when the animations are shown in the battle background.
You can now have your animations start the battle hidden. There are also two new plugin commands: Show Animation and Hide Animation. These will allow you to show/hide an animation during the battle.
Animations now also have an opacity parameter, in case you want slightly transparent animations.

Very interested in this plugin, I’m curious if it would be possible to tie background animations to say, character/enemy skills so actions affect the animations as the skills happen in real time?
Hi, you could use a common event tied to a skill to show or hide battle back animations. If you know an enemy (such as a boss) will always cast a certain battle altering spell at a certain turn, you could also use the troop events to change battleback animations at that turn as well.
Let me know if this is what you had in mind, otherwise I think you will need to explain your idea a bit more for me.
